John has over 25 years of experience building and leading service based organizations. He also had 5 years of international experience with Saudi Telecom, in Riyadh Saudi Arabia. John has held Executive positions across multiple disciplines including Sales, Client Services, Operations, and Technology. He also taught full-time and part-time at Colleges and Universities in Ontario; most recently at Humber College. John has often been described as a strong leader, strategic thinker, team builder, mentor, and effective communicator, able to operationalize strategy and execute the plan. He would tell you that his greatest enjoyment in business comes through collaboration; bringing the right people to the table, who are passionate and committed, and guiding them to success. He was the recipient of an award from the Association of Colleges of Applied Arts and Technology of Ontario for the partnership model that he built with the President of Fleming College. He has an extensive Board and community service background. He currently serves as Chair of the Durham Contact Centre, and previously served a variety of not-for-profit organizations including the Ontario Chamber of Commerce, the Provincial Partnership Committee, United Way, Rotary, Big Brothers Hamilton, Hamilton Chamber of Commerce, and the Riyadh International School.
